Your KOKUA is greatly needed! Children at Kauluwela and Makaha Elementary Schools are in desperate need of school supplies and bare necessities for the upcoming school year. Please join IBEW Local 1186 and its Membership Development/VOC Team- the Volunteer Membership Development Committee, Spectrum VOC, Ikaika Na Kaikuahine, Re-energizing the Next Generation of Electrical Workers (RENEW) Committee and the Hawaii Electricians Retiree Association- to work together and collect as many supplies as we can for the less fortunate children at these two schools. There is a list of MOST-needed items (see flyer), but please feel free to drop off whatever you can when you drop off supplies. The actual drop-off collection date will be August 3rd from 7:30-11:30 am at the Oahu Honolulu union office, but you are more than welcome to drop off your supplies at any time during regular business hours between now and the collection date.
