UNIT 1 MEETING – THURS., 3/14 AT 5 PM!
Honolulu-Chris Hart, of talk radio show “The Sports Animals,” on ESPN 1420AM/92.7 FM, called Business Manager/Financial Secretary Damien Kim on Friday, July 24th, to talk story about what the membership has been up to throughout this pandemic, as well as chatted about recent events, bringing listeners up to speed on what they and the Local are doing, as long-time supporters of ESPN 1420AM and high school/collegiate sports in Hawaii. Because of COVID-19, regular face-to-face interviews for radio and television are not ideal at this time, so the interview was conducted via phone. As this pandemic continues to change the face of our “normal,” Local 1186 will continue working to update, educate, and share the responsibilities of the membership to the public, and their roles in Hawaii’s communities as well as continue their efforts to keep everyone safe.
