Staff at IBEW LOCAL 1186 staff, HETF, Hawaii Electricians Ad Office & Compliance make Christmas brighter

Honolulu – Staff of IBEW Local 1186, the Hawaii Electricians Training Fund, Hawaii Electricians Administrative Office, and HEMEP’s Compliance Office helped to make Christmas brighter for a few families that would have to remain in the hospital over the holidays.

Each year, employees choose a charitable cause and this year, chose “Santa’s Workshop” as part of the giving project at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children. Employees who participated did so voluntarily, and gave from the heart – and donations totaling close to $3,000 in brand new, unwrapped gifts and gift cards were delivered to the hospital on December 23rd.

Items purchased for hospital guests ranged from brand new electronic equipment, ride-on toys, to women’s clothing and robes, to books and arts and craft supplies and many various brand new toys for children of various ages. Gift cards were even purchased by a few employees so that families could choose what they needed during this difficult time.

If you are a member or community partner of ours, and would like to join our staff in donations and charitable causes in 2022, please feel free to let us know!

Happy Holidays!
