“Every Drop Counts” Blood Drive initiative nets almost 400 pints collected so far

Honolulu-IBEW Local 1186 has been one of the 16 labor unions helping to save lives this summer, as a major participant in the Hawaii Building & Construction Trades Council’s (HBCTC) “Every Drop Counts-Giving for a better tomorrow,” a collaborative blood drive effort in partnership the Blood Bank of Hawaii (BBH).

LG Josh Green came out to donate at the event, as well as over 100 members and their families from different trades within the HBCTC family. There are still more Kauai and Hilo dates coming up this and next month, so be sure to check out the BBH website (below), not just during this time of year, but year-round.

As summer draws to an end, the need for blood is still there so be sure to donate when you can at any Blood Bank of Hawaii blood donation center. To make an appointment to donate, visit their website or call 808-848-4770.
