IBEW 1186 Fishing Event

CONTEST RULES/INSTRUCTIONS for IBEW 1186 Member’s and Keiki:

IBEW 1186 Fishing Event is solely for our members and their families. This Event will be held during the weekend of Friday-July 16, 2021 to Sunday-July 18, 2021; 12noon. The location will be of your choice, in your county. This event is for Fishing Pole use and is limited to shoreline ONLY. Participants may not catch or weigh in fish that have been caged. All fish must be caught during this weekend only. Drone use, trolling and casting of nets are not permitted. 

Registration * No late forms will be accepted 

Complete Forms need to be received no later than Friday-07/02/2021. Members who have children under 11, who would like to participate, need to be registered. There is a limit of 5 children per member.  All registered members and their registered children (under age 11) will receive a participation packet.

All registered “MEMBER” participants in each county are eligible to win in the category of Heaviest Fish.  Registered Members who submit their catch will also qualify for the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize will be awarded to the Heaviest fish amongst all counties. 

• Grand Prize Winner will be recognized with a plaque that will be displayed at the IBEW 1186 Hall with your name and winning fish information.

All registered Keiki in each county is eligible to win in the category of Heaviest Fish.  

ALL registered member/participants are eligible to win in the Category of Best Photo and Video Contest.  

• Must be a IBEW 1186 Member and Member’s Keiki
• Keiki must be under the age of 11 years old and no more than 5 children per member
• Registration can be done via the IBEW 1186 APP 
• Completed registration form(s) must be turned in no later than Friday, July 2^nd, 2021
• All qualified participants must be enrolled/registered
• An email will be sent to confirm receiving of your application
• Any applications in question will receive communication via phone/e-mail
• No late forms will be accepted
• Qualified participants will receive a Participation Packet
• Any suspicion or suspected disregard of event rules will result in disqualification
• All FISH must be CAUGHT during the event dates (7/16/21 – 7/18/21)
  • All Fish that would like to be considered need to be photographed and send via text to the following ph# that corresponds to your county:

• ALL PHOTOS MUST BE RECEIVED WITH IN 30 MINUTES OF YOUR CATCH OR WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AT WEIGH IN
  • Photo’s need to have members name and location (including island) of catch
  • Fish cannot be used more than once
• Weigh in will commence on Sunday, July 18^th, 2021 @ 9:00 a.m., no later than 12:00 noon at the above location(s).  Oahu will be held in the parking lot of 1935 Hau Street
• All entries at weigh in will be photographed and time stamped

PRIZES:

All registered “MEMBER” participants in each county are eligible to win “Da Heaviest Fish”.  Participant will automatically qualify for the Grand Prize category which includes ALL counties.  Prizes will be awarded as follows:

• Each County:   Heaviest Fish  
• Grand Prize Winner:  COOLER and a plaque that will be displayed at the IBEW 1186 Hall with your name on it.

All registered members in each county are eligible to win in the category of Heaviest Fish.  

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

• 1^st Place:           Cooler // IBEW Logo items
• 2^nd Place:          IBEW soft cooler // Towel // Flask          
• 3^rd Place:          IBEW Chai cooler // Flask

• Grand Prize Winner:   Cooler, IBEW item and a plaque that will be displayed at the IBEW 1186 Hall (on Oahu) with your name.

All registered Keiki in each county is eligible to win in the category of Heaviest Fish. 

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

• 1^st Place:           Fishing Pole // IBEW Towel // Flask
• 2^nd Place:          IBEW Towel // Flask      
• 3^rd Place:          Flask
• Grand Prize Winner:   COOLER and a plaque that will be displayed at the IBEW 1186 Hall with your name.

ALL registered member/participants are eligible to win in the Best Photo and Video Contest.  

• Photo and Video must be taken at your fishing location. 
• Must include:
• Member Name
• Island
• Location 
• Names of people in the photo/video
• Include Our IBEW logo
• Photo & Video must be submitted via e-mail to:  IBEWfishing@ibew1186.org ,no later than Monday, July 19^thby 12:00 noon.  NO EXCEPTIONS will be made!
