UNIT 1 MEETING – THURS., 3/14 AT 5 PM!

Members

IBEW Local Union 1186 has represented our members since 1940. For three-quarters of a decade, we have been committed to strive for excellence in the electrical industry. By building a solid core of skilled craftsmen, Local Union 1186 signatory contractors can depend on their employees to insure that they are the most competitive and profitable contractors in the electrical industry.

We are also committed to further establish a good working relationship with our signatory contractors, other trades, the general public, and our members and their families. Our commitment to the public to provide a quality final product, a commitment to our contractors to provide them with skilled craftsmen in all aspects of the electrical trade, a commitment to provide our members new training classes as our industry continues to change and develop, and insuring our members are up to date with all their safety classes to prevent high workman’s compensation insurance, and working together with our members and contractors to strive for the highest of standards in the electrical industry are just some things we aim for as we strive for excellence in all that we do.

IBEW Local 1186 Oahu Picnic

For the past seven years Business Manager Damien Kim and his staff have made it a point to give back to the membership by holding annual picnics on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. By holding these picnics, it is the union’s hope that members realize union dues not only pay for representation but also seek to further one of our objectives in our constitution- “To cultivate feelings of friendship among those of our industry.” On behalf of Brother Kim, we would like to thank all the members that volunteered and all the members who came and participated to make this event a success. As you can see in some of the pictures, the members who chose to attend received cooler bags and stainless steel liquid flasks with the IBEW Local 1186 logo on it.
